This tool processes a ForeFlight CSV logbook export and calculates the values required for TC Form 26-0795E (Section 4) as part of a Canadian ATPL application under CAR 421.34. It also provides a logbook summary and an eligibility progress tracker against ATPL hour requirements.

Note: This tool has been tested against aeroplane ATPL requirements only. Helicopter ATPL requirements have not yet been validated.

How to use:

  1. In ForeFlight, go to Logbook → Export → CSV and save the file.
  2. Upload that CSV file below and click Generate Report.
  3. Review your Section 4 values, eligibility summary, and logbook breakdown.
  4. Use Export Text File to save the report for your records.

🔒 Privacy: Your logbook file is processed entirely in memory and discarded immediately after your report is generated. No flight data is stored, logged, or shared with any third party.

⚠ Requirements For Accurate Results

Each flight entry must have:

  • ForeFlight logbook Format set to FAA (EASA format is not yet tested)
  • Pilot role set — PIC, SIC, or PIC U/S
  • Night column filled where applicable (the day/night split is derived from this value)
  • Cross Country (XC) distance or checkbox ticked for XC flights
  • Actual Instrument time logged for IMC/IFR flight
  • Simulator entries marked using the Simulated Flight column (not just a device type)

Each aircraft must be configured with:

  • Aircraft Class (FAA) — e.g. Airplane Single Engine Land, Multi Engine Sea
  • Engine Type — Piston, Turboprop, or Jet
  • Gear Type — used to confirm land vs. sea classification

These are set in ForeFlight under More → Aircraft. Entries for unconfigured aircraft will appear as unknown metadata in the report.
